The programes organised at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre aim to encourage exchange amongst artists or art lovers, inspire new thoughts and ideas and encourage cross-disciplinary studies and technical learning, so as to make art happen.
The students in Art Specialist Course 2015 - 2016 walked through a nine-month journey in art creation, which involved two major subjects, painting and print-making. Throughout the programes, the students were allowed to have exposure in different art settings, e.g. studio practices, thematic workshops, tutorials, talks, visits to exhibitions and artists' studios, to gain creative inspirations. The exhibition showcases the students' achievements and shares their creative ideas with the public.
Visitors voted for five favourite sets of artworks during the exhibition. The first five candidates (in the order of the number of strokes in their Chinese surnames) are Yu Yuen-shan, Ng Oi-ling, Ko Bin-lin, Chan Wing-sze and Lucilla Chan. The award winner of Most ‘Liked' Artwork is Yu Yuen-shan.
