Born in Mizhou, Shangdong Province, Gu Yue received an MA in Ceramic Painting from Jingdezhen Ceramic University. In 2017, Gu Yue established his art studio, "Gu Yue Ru Lin Qing" to further explore his artistic creation and his interest in ceramics painting, and currently he serves as an instructor of the Education Centre of the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen. Gu Yue thrives on innovating contemporary ceramics painting methods in the presentation of underglaze blue, wucai and sancai ceramic works. He has applied various ceramics painting techniques to his recent creations, resulting in the development of a distinctive style.
