In the hush of dawn, the artist stood at a corner of Fortress Hill, gazing across the harbour. The city’s silhouette remained elusive, a hazy outline against the rising sun. It wasn’t until the rhythmic crash of waves and the familiar scent of the sea that he recognised the place, a familiar ground he had come to know.

The numbers in the image indicate the sunrise times for each Monday during his residency, from July to October 2024.
