Using the verdant and leisurely paced style at Oi! to promote green art, two local architect-artists, Ida Sze and Billy Chan, have created The Same Roof, a work that brings new, specially designed art elements to the venue's central lawn.

Drawing inspiration from the cluster of colonial buildings of different heights that house Oi!, their delightful arrangement and the black ceramic tiles of their roof design, the two artists came up with the idea of a floating red roof above the lawn. To turn their concept into reality, they invited the teachers and students of the Hong Kong Sea School to help knit the structure using professional knotting techniques, and the result is a work of art that is interwoven with and enriches the architecture of Oi!.
