Reading is Always Good
The library has always been said as the treasure of knowledge. Notwithstanding the easily accessible internet nowadays, the library is incomparable. Benson Kwun made use of this sculpture of a curved page, slightly turned over like a flying flag, to imply that the library itself is a giant book in motion. Embossed with the master Wang Xizhi's cursive Chinese calligraphy on the outer side and Shakespeare's original handwriting on the inner side, the sculpture symbolises the pinnacle of classical arts and literature. The page with bi-lingual facets also demonstrates the blend of Chinese and Western cultures in Hong Kong.
