Mezzotint is an intaglio printmaking technique which is excellent at representing strong contrast between and subtle gradation of light and shadow. In this workshop, artist Jacky CHEUNG Tsz-ki, will introduce various processes and basic techniques of mezzotint, including rocking, scrapping, chine-collé, a la poupée and multi-plate printing. Participants will learn these plate-making and printing techniques and understand how mezzotint works by making Christmas and New Year cards with mezzotint.
