Reality dictates that it is impossible to know the exact location of a spectator in time and space. The spectator might be in two different exhibitions at the same time, connected only by a very thin, almost invisible string. This makes it very difficult for an artist.
Artist Erkka Nissinen studied in The Slade School of Fine Art in London and received an MFA degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki, Finland in 2001. His works have been exhibited internationally. At the 2011 Rotterdam Art Fair, Erkka won the acclaimed Illy Prize. In 2013, he was awarded the AVEK Prize for media art. He represented Finland with Nathaniel Mellors at the Venice Biennale 2017. Currently, he works between Hong Kong, New York and Helsinki.
