Co-organised by: Art Promotion Office and Shenzhen Fringe Art Center
The Art Promotion Office, in collaboration with the Shenzhen Fringe Art Center, proudly presents "Ink Art Ensembles" Exhibition Series in the Greater Bay Area. Guest-curated by Hong KO and Eric ZHU, the series features five exhibitions in four cities in the GBA, including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan and Dongguan. As a joint showcase for "Ink Art Ensembles" Exhibition Series in the Greater Bay Area, the first exhibition is also one of the programmes in the 4th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival. Each of the other four independent exhibitions presents the collaboration of one Hong Kong artist with another GBA artist group. The term "Ensembles" in Cantonese means "Polyphonic", and the aim of the exhibition series is to bring out new rhythms of contemporary ink art. The Hong Kong artists focus primarily on ink art as their theme or medium, and the other GBA artists respond to these ink creations through various artistic mediums. This cross-regional collaboration aims to inspire creativity and showcase the achievements of contemporary art and future trends.
The "Ink Art Ensembles" Exhibition Series in the Greater Bay Area brings together 9 artists from Hong Kong and the Mainland, including Raymond FUNG Wing Kee, Ross YAU Wing Fung, Tony NG Kwun Lun, Barbara CHOI Tak Yee, XING Lili, _.WAV_Studio_ (CAO Yuxi and LAU Hiu Kong), OU Tingzhu and WEN Qiuwen, to redefine the meaning of ink art and revitalise its dynamics through painting, sculpture, installation art, multi-media art and fashion design. Through the talent and innovative creations of artists, we wish to drive a deep integration and collaboration in the GBA.
